The Oregon Legislature and state economic development dept. provided funds for general assessments on site at 40 LEO libraries.

Trust Management has provided funding for dozens of new board books at each of 40 public libraries in the LEO region

   LEO’s vision paper was ranked as the state’s sixth most important sustainability project by former Gov. John Kitzhaber under the Oregon Solutions program.                  “Lighting Up” called for rural libraries to step up to meet information and technology needs of the 21st century. 
NASA— STARS 
   Components of the STARS program launched by LEO and OMSI — Science, Technology and Rural Students — were incorporated into official NASA education policy in 2006 
NAO
   LEO is a founding member of the Nonprofits Association of Oregon (NAO) — one of only a few initial founders from east of the Cascades
OMSI — ASTC / IMLS
  In 2007  OMSI received the prestigious Leading Edge Award from the international Assoc of Science & Technology Centers and the National Leadership Award from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services — both based in large part on OMSI’s innovative partnership with LEO
