Oregon Museum of Science & Industry

SAAM is one of LEO’s key partners in A Sense of Place, providing first time direct programming from the metropolitan museum in Wash. DC for this project and other LEO ventures in this rural region. 

Smithsonian American Art Museum

OCH plays a pivotal role in bringing humanities programs to rural LEO communities and also serves as a key partner in A Sense of Place. Scholars provide programs on a wide range of topics through OCH’s widely acclaimed Chautauqua program. 

Oregon Council for the Humanities

Scientists at the meteorite lab at Portland State University’s Geology Dept. are engaged in a public outreach program through LEO, where programs — and $15,000 worth of meteorites — are brought to rural communities in all parts of Oregon with 40+ communities reached so far.
